I’m not your typical “get off my lawn” guy, but WWE Unreal has snapped some new things into focus. Season two of the backstage behind the scenes documentary show on Netflix dropped this week on the popular streaming platform and with it came excitement, confusion, hypocrisy, and a whole lot of questions.
Pro wrestling is a work. It’s a staged conflict with stakes that is designed to illicit responses from audiences that paid hard-earned money to see the conflict’s outcome. That’s a hard puzzle to put together.
