Umm, is Sheamus ok?
Like, seriously. The Celtic Warrior has been out of action with a shoulder injury, but that injury doesn’t hold a candle to whatever happened to him in the gym during recovery.
Holy shit.
Holy shit
Ok, Sheamus took to social media on Wednesday and posted two pictures. The caption of those pictures said “gym fail” and featured some accompanying emojis. The pictures were grotesque.
The first was of Sheamus in a green Celtics basketball jersey and blood covering half of his face and a lot of his arm. The second was a shot from above his head that showed a Grand Canyon sized gash. Not only was the gash shockingly big, but his followers were treated to an added bonus view of what appeared to be a broken skull and possibly some brain.
Yeah, Krang-style.
What the hell happened at the gym???!
If you want to see the pictures, you can take a look at them on his Instagram feed here. Beware of clicking that link. Make sure you’re sitting down and have some water handy.
What the hell could have possibly happened to Sheamus at the gym that would have caused what amounts to a damn stab wound to the top of the head? Sheamus is a veteran gym-goer. Look at the dude. He’s chiseled out of stone and looks, today, exactly like he did 15 years ago.
The only explanation for the graphic head injury is that an 80 pound weight fell from the sky and did some damage. That, or, Sheamus got into a legit barroom brawl at the gym and was on the wrong side of giant shards of broken pint glasses. Maybe he was working out with bears, other animals with sharp teeth, or the Knights of the Round table with giant swords.
Not worth the pump
Your initial reaction to that is the correct one. None of that happened. If they did, it certainly wasn’t worth the pump.
So, what gives? We know Sheamus is Sheamus. He’s one of the most physical guys on the WWE roster and when healthy, he regularly uses that physicality for entertaining, but grueling matches on weekly television. I miss those and this new laceration won’t help him get back into the ring any sooner.
Whatever happened. Whatever it was. Let’s leave it out of the exercise rotation moving forward. Please. If that means the gym days of Sheamus are over. So be it. Sheamus, if that means you’re destined for yoga classes, it is what it is.
This, fella, cannot happen again.
When Sheamus returns to action from injury, who do you want to see him wrestle against most?

Has he ever been truly, ok?
It is sort of sad that he waited to take a photo to post to social media vs going straight to the hospital.
