-Randy Orton isn’t known for his promo skills, but what he cut at the beginning of SmackDown this week was strong. Orton is the likable, legacy, babyface right now, so there isn’t much he can do wrong. That said, he put emphasis on the championship and wrestling in the main event of WrestleMania. Now, he’ll eventually have to address Cody Rhodes more, but there is plenty of time for that. This promo was about him and it worked.
Choose someone else
-Isn’t there another heel for WWE to trot out opposite Orton for an RKO? Why Trick Williams? Williams has been nothing but a positive addition to the SmackDown roster and has elevated himself up the card already. This kind of RKO segment is reserved for the Grayson Waller type of character. Not a character that has all the upside in the world and that is riding a wave of momentum.
