-Trick Williams had a strong week. Not just with the win over Rey Fenix, but with the promo time next to Randy Orton. Williams looked like he belonged in a ring with a star of Orton’s level and got the heat he was looking for opposite Orton. In his two SmackDown appearances thus far, he’s shown why he has such a massive upside.

-Real quick on Randy Orton — is there anyone that looks like they have as much fun as he does every time he walks out to the ring. He’s not doing much and is a legacy act right now, but is clearly loving this era of his career. It seems like the fans see and connect with that.
-On this episode of SmackDown, we had Randy Orton, Damian Priest, Sami Zayn, Ilja Dragunov, and Matt Cardona talk about wanting to win the WWE Championship. I love this. It’s simple, but it reinforces that it’s that championship at the center of everyone’s mind. Yes, we have qualifying matches for number one contendership on the horizon, but the focus on the championship is important.
