-WWE aired a fantastic video package to start the show this week that detailed the history and story between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. The feud has been on fumes, but this piece made it come across as the biggest and most important thing going in the company.
Three hours is long … real long
-Real quick. The three hour SmackDown is tough. Everything that took place dragged on just a little too long. Entrances were long, promos were long, matches were long. In a perfect world, they wouldn’t be and each segment would have landed better in an environment where you’re trying to fill two hours instead of three.
-The Miz and Randy Orton opening the show was fun. Orton looks supremely comfortable in this legacy role and Miz greased the wheel for Orton’s pop. Not sure it meant all that much, but it was decent television.
