-Strong promo from Liv Morgan to start the show. She’s not the greatest talker in the world, but she got her point across regarding Nikki Bella. Morgan very much drew the line in the sand between herself and Bella and a match for Evolution was on a fast track.

-Morgan injuring her shoulder during her match with Kairi Sane was an unfortunate twist. The injury looked really painful and depending on how long she’s out for, she may miss out on what should have been a busy summer in a prominent spot. Total bummer for her and hope that she can heel up soon.
-So nice seeing Asuka back in the fold. She isn’t going to be the face of the Raw women’s division, but adds star power and depth to it. Asuka vs. Iyo Sky in a title match should be a top priority for Triple H to get done this year. Asuka looked like she hadn’t missed a beat out there. Still very crisp in the ring and as credible as ever. Asuka advancing in Queen of the Ring makes sense. Not sure she’s winning this tournament, but a win in her first match back was important.
-Well, I’m not all that excited to see Goldberg back in WWE … again. The guy is a one trick pony at best, but at worst, I’m not sure he can even get through a match anymore. That said, the audience seemed to really enjoy watching him and this wasn’t one of his worst performances either. He yelled, but Goldberg yells. Goldberg vs. Gunther tucked away on Saturday Night’s Main Event isn’t the worst thing in the world.
-AJ Styles wins against JD McDonagh and now has a WWE Intercontinental Championship match lined up against Dominik Mysterio. A straight up mid-card feud, but a good one for both guys at this time.
Attention WWE babyfaces
-Take note WWE babyfaces! You know that Bayley promo this week? That’s a babyface promo. A money babyface promo. Bayley was so likable and so direct in her mission statement. It was her best microphone work as a babyface in quite some time. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch doesn’t feel all that fresh, but should be a really good match.
-Speaking of good babyface promos, Sami Zayn had one this week too. Zayn put a lot of stock in winning the King of the Ring tournament this year and that not only moved his storyline along, but it put over the stakes and perception of the tournament too.
-Jey Uso advances in the King of the Ring! Who called it? That’s right … right here! The match with Jey, Sheamus, Bronson Reed, and Rusev had plenty of action, but ended up flat. I mean who would have thought? Bron Breakker involved, LA Knight involved, Sami Zayn involved? Pandemonium! The Jey win helps fans forget that he just lost the world championship. Jey addressed that a little this week, simply saying that he was going to win it back someday, but not nearly upset enough if you ask me.
Cody tease
-Cody Rhodes making the save and walking down Seth Rollins plants a few seeds. First, another match with Rollins. Second, he’s facing Jey Uso next week in the King of the Ring tournament and this was a cool way to get them some face time in the ring together.
