From a zoomed out perspective, I thought every match and every segment had a purpose. Every thing on the show appears to have direction. Even the angles that are not working (The Candace and Indy story) are going somewhere.

Probably what I appreciate most about the current booking strategy is the strategic manner in which each angle and story has been unraveled with the overall design of peaking going into WrestleMania. The main event story and Becky and Rhea story were revealed slowly, allowing fans

to build anticipation for the next step of the story and the eventual physicality between the combatants. The Sami crisis of confidence story hat been playing out slowly over the last few months and right now it feels ripe. WWE it booking stories with a storyboard template and a calendar. While this seems like an obvious strategy, it has been frequently neglected on weekly episodic wrestling television for the lion's share of the genre’s existence.

I love this. Thanks for sharing and reading. Great points all around. Do you think the angles take too long to develop? Appreciate you checking us out here and on Patreon. Hope to earn your business. -ZH

I think if an angle is ripe for picking or testing the patience of the audience is up to individual taste of the audience member. Speaking for myself, if I remember the key points of the story without having to stretch my memory, it has not gone on too long. I can recall a few AEW angles (Keith Lee/ Swerve namely) that stopped developing and then were revisited. In these cases, it is best to drop the angle and move on to something different. As long as the story is developing, even if it is developing slowly with new pivots and routes, you can take your time with the more overt twists and turns.
