Triple H didn't actually say that did he?

By Zack Heydorn · July 31, 2026

Triple H, I’ve got two words for ya … wake up.

Pro wrestling is a business where high levels of two-faced hypocrisy have been common place and rewarded for over a century. The industry, which is now a billion dollar corporate juggernaut, was born in carnivals. It’s rooted in a lack of transparency and built on basically being full of shit. That’s regular. Normal. Part of the industry charm and tradition.

It’s all passion?

This week, Triple H — the creative boss of WWE — took being full of shit to an entirely new stratosphere. I’m going to want to vomit as I type all of this out, but here’s what the WWE Chief Content Officer said during his first appearance for Busted Open on WWE Radio.

"I wish sometimes we could put that passion into the talent now as opposed to when somebody gets heat in our business, it's like 'God, why would they write that that way?'

“As opposed to ‘that no good piece of crap did this.’ There’s something to saying that innocence of not knowing and ‘it still being real to me, dick. But it is what it is. I love that. I love the hate. I love the love. It’s all passion for what we do.”

Yeah, it doesn’t sound like you love it too much.

The pro wrestling written word. Right to you each day.
